Christmas craft activities for kids
The lead-up to Christmas is always exciting for children and the weeks leading up to the big day are often filled with days out, family activities and lots of yummy food, but keeping the kids occupied over the festive holidays can be tricky. In this guide, we take a look at some Christmas craft activities that are great for kids of all ages. Keep reading to find out what these activities are.
Toilet roll reindeer
Empty toilet rolls are a versatile item for staff or parents looking to when they want to get creative with their children. Their shape makes them great for creating characters like snowmen, reindeers and Santa Clause. Supply children with a toilet roll, some googly eyes and some brown pipe cleaners and they’ll be able to create their very own Reindeer characters with ease!
Wood slice ornaments
Fake wood slices are available in almost any craft store so are easily available. They make great rustic ornaments and are a great base for children to get creative with pens and paints. They can paint or draw whatever they want on the wood and then these can be turned into tree ornaments for a personal touch on the tree.
DIY snow globes
Do you have any glass jars left at home that have lids? Then you and the kids can create their very own DIY snow globes. Add water and some fake snow to the jar, ask the children for their favourite small toy or christmas decoration and glue this to the underside of the lid. Screw the lid on and turn upside now… you have created your very own snow globe.
