3 Halloween crafts ideas for kids
Halloween is just around the corner and getting crafty is one of the best ways to get into the spirit of the season. From spooky masks to pumpkin carving and orange garlands, there are so many ways to get the kids creative as well as having some frightening fun. In this article, we talk about three of the best easy and simple crafts that kids of any age can have a go at (with adult supervision).
Spooky garland
Want to get the house looking spooky and scary? Why not try and create a garland with the children? This can be as simple or as complicated as you like depending on your abilities or the age of the kids. Get the children to safely cut out some simple shapes including pumpkins, ghosts, bats and skeletons and attach them to some coloured string and hang it in the desired location in your home.
Pumpkin carvings
You can’t enjoy Halloween without cutting a few pumpkins, obviously, this can be quite dangerous so this activity should be supervised by an adult and done with child-friendly tools. Get the children to choose their desired design (it might be worth you drawing the design on the pumpkin first before allowing them to start cutting. Once finished, place them outside the front door with a small candle inside and enjoy.
Paper plate masks
Paper plates are a great shape for creating a simple and child-friendly mask with little effort. Get your child to choose what they would like to be for Halloween and get them to draw the shape on the plate before you cut it out and attach some elastic at the back.
If you have children and are looking for some crafty ideas or are looking into household staff to help you to look after the children, then hopefully one of three ideas will bring a little fun to Halloween.
