You will have a 5 day, 45 hour week with weekends off when the family are not in residence, so many weekends free for you in the year. The cottage is one bedroom and, sorry, no pets allowed.
They have 4 dogs and teenagers (all well behaved!) They are well known and respected figures in the art/fashion world, needing to employ those who are experienced and discreet for this large country estate.
The lady will be cook and housekeeper, loads of time to manage the house during the many absences of the family but full on when they are there. The mother is really hands on so no worries there and help from the London home is called on when a full house.
Cooking is not complicated, but you must be confident and serving, wardrobe care and loving care of fine china and art are all in your hand book of talents.
The chap will know his gardening and handyman skills and use a chainsaw, so certificate essential. Primarily an “outside” role with care of the 4 dogs who live there. There are other ground staff, but you and your wife/partner will be the management couple.
For professionals who love the country, drive, like a mostly informal role and love dogs, this will be a workout at times but very rewarding and the local pub is great fun!
