This couple need you to assist the Filipina housekeeper already working with them. You will be the cook, experience in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese cuisine would be nice, and drive when the chauffeur is off.  Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.  How good is that!?  The previous chap stayed for many years so they want longevity, the H.K. has been with them for over 6 years so you can see they are great principals.  Discretion is paramount as is the ability to travel on occasions in the summer for around 5 weeks, so you must have a UK or European passport please.

 

I want to see a long term job in a private household or similar on your CV, you can be young or mature but some experience for this superb job is essential.  Aspiring butlers would also work if you are a great cook for healthy Mediterranean dishes.

This gentleman from a much respected Royal family spends around six months of the year in London with his wife and children but also travels extensively.  You will mainly be in the Mayfair home but do not put away your suitcase!

 

He needs a man for modesty reasons, who is now a butler and a valet.  NOTE: if you do not have at least 5 years’ experience of this work do not apply please.  We will not respond.

 

The staff around him stay for many years, they are superb employers and here are just some of the “must haves”!  Be able to travel unencumbered for a couple of weeks at a time when needed, so wardrobe care, packing and unpacking, being able to mentor and train other staff, serve at table, take an inventory of fine objects/art, meet and greet with aplomb, be able to take responsibility but not be too proud to run errands!  A driver please.  In other word wear many hats!

 

The person must be fit, someone who is front of house, who can help run a residence as a calm knowledgeable butler and personal valet.  I stress, not a house manager but a Butler and a Valet.

You will ideally work from 9am to 2pm or 10am to 3pm with help from a cleaner and driver/maintenance man.  You must be aware of the age of this beautiful property which is constantly needing work so keeping your eye out for repairs.  They hate fuss and love calm and practised care, you maybe asked to cook the odd light, healthy, Mediterranean style food but the lady cooks herself so very rarely.  They bring their two lovely Corgis with them when in residence, so you maybe licked to death!

 

In short this is for an experienced Senior Housekeeper, who knows how to care for works of art, shop, anticipate needs and be highly discreet.   Someone who can also work with a long established, happy team for years to come, starting mid October.
